medical expenses
Rugby is a physical contact sport and players and/or parents and/or legal guardians accept that Athy RFC and Athy RFC Coaches accept no responsibility for loss, damage or injury caused by or during attendance at Athy RFC activities, to include training and matches and both players and/or parents and/or legal guardians acknowledge that in participating in Rugby Activities, that injuries or other harm could occur to them or others and voluntarily accept all risks of such injury, damage or harm which arise during participation in such events. These risks include but are not limited to the possibility of physical injury.
The Executive Committee of Athy RFC strongly recommends that every Underage and Senior Player has their own Personal Health Insurance, or has their own Sports Injury insurance, to cover the eventuality of such injury or loss, as Athy RFC accepts no responsibility for any medical treatment arising from injuries sustained during the course of Rugby related activities, where it may arise.
Underage Players may be able to avail of 24/7 School insurance Policies, but it is up to each player and/or parent and/or legal guardians to satisfy themselves that they have adequate insurance in place to cover participation in Contact Sports.
